current obsession

Ocean Without A Shore by Bill Viola

i'm just too lazy to explain what it is. but it's some dope shit. 10 out of 10.
it's chilling and almost haunting, but utterly beautiful.
and if you're still wondering wtf i'm talkin bout then read this and that.
Definitely one of my favourite contemporary video artists and i'm lucky enough
to get to see one of his masterpieces in Melbourne this summer.
So if you're in Melbourne, do check this out at NGV St. Kilda.

human nature

So i just saw that video of MJ's memorial tribute (yes i'm a late bloomer, be nice.) The service was beautiful, phenomenal loving tribute to a loving and a super-talented man. it was fit for a King. Many times in my life i met people that hurt me badly and i was holding onto so many negative feelings. i felt like i was actually at the service today and now i only feel sorry for those who could not appreciate the deep love that i had for them. life is too short to harbour feelings of contempt. Thank you Michael Jackson for all of your love. it is contagious!

here comes the sun

Photobucket

Australia has been raining for the last few months so i had been paying special attention to weather maps hoping, praying that we may have some sun. Cold nights mean no clouds to keep the heat in so when the sun finally came out there was nothing but blue skies. Hell yerr.. so we went out to see Indonesian Festival, and it was alright. The food was 6 out of 10, i was overly thrilled to see that firkin rip off siomay and other rare indo food served along the food stalls. It was fucking expensive though, $2 for a piece of siomay (yes those greedy donkeys charged every pieces of your siomay) and $3 for a Fruittea. But of course i just had to have em, so there i was having the most expensive siomay and fruittea of my life. and FYI, i had 7 siomays and i don't mean to be cheap but hell woman, you could get a proper 14 bucks steak and a glass of fine wine instead. So overall i'd say it was an OK experience. not great, just OK. Melbourne's weather was bullshit, feels like we're in the middle of the summer but with a slight of winter breeze. did i say the weather was bullshit?? Yes it was. but hey can't complain much i'm more than happy with the sun finally out and slightly warmer temperature. Oh, and a lady friend of mine told me about Air Asia giving away free limited seats to several destinations in the world including Thailand- where my lovely guy and i are thinking of spending our post Bali new years together! this is so exciting guess we'll have to try our luck! this is awesome. say a lil pray asking God to keep the good times rolling as i'm having an absolute ball of my life :)

twenty something

i seriously starting to developed this numb attitude towards birthdays i mean seriously it's starting to lose all its lustre once you hit 21, from there onwards is like 'whats the point of celebrating the fact that your ageing?!' the whole fact that i'm 22 hasn’t sunk in me yet, it took the whole day till all the fun times are officially over to finally realized that i am bloody 22.. Typical me. So the boy pulled out a humble little celebration around midnight, no cakes or candles this year, but a sizzlin hot Polaroid Camera and it was dopeeee as shieettt! kick ass image quality, i feel like carrying it with me everywhere i go. packed my polaroid, looking all slick and nice, headin out for some brew and cuisine with the Mcgraths, try to absorb it all in and of course heaps of loving from loved ones. ;)

a smile that rocked out my day

Had such a good week so far :)
my brain is too lazy to compose anything clever lately. i'm a fucking Bachelor in a few weeks!!!! yes yes suck on that. The weather is gorgeous out and we spent alot of times playing outside. But most of the time we just hang out at home, and took silly pics. now these are rare pictures you don't want to miss, Dewa's never been a camera person and it's so rare, well almost never seeing him smile to the camera. but i forced him to pull out a big one and he did.
though i know it was a fucking painful thing for him to do. Good job D!!
